Professional Bio
Ted Chancellor serves as the City Manager of Plainview, Texas, where he leads with a focus on fiscal discipline, infrastructure stewardship, workforce development, and long-term community growth. His work includes oversight of airport development, capital planning, housing strategy, and intergovernmental coordination, with an emphasis on practical execution and public trust.
In parallel, Ted is a commissioned officer in the United States Navy Reserve with over two decades of experience in aviation maintenance, logistics, and operational leadership, bringing a disciplined, systems-oriented perspective to municipal infrastructure and economic development.
Ted holds a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, a master’s degree in Project Management, and is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration focused on leadership judgment and emergency communication. He and his wife, Megan, are raising four children and are deeply invested in the community they serve.
