Melanie Baird

Melanie was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and has lived in Lubbock since 1996 with her husband Herb. The Baird family are avid tennis fans and play themselves. Her daughter Taylor graduated from the University of North Texas and is working on her MBA at the University of Oklahoma.

Passionate about building professional relationships and helping others, Melanie thoroughly enjoys her work and gets great pleasure from making sure clients have everything they need. Melanie takes an educational approach when assisting clients choose the right tools to ensure they are happy with the product(s) they buy.

As claims advocate, Melanie assisted clients in managing claims from incident to closure to help restore control, reduce costs and prevent future loss experiences. As part of that process, she also worked with clients on root cause analysis, return-to-work programs and risk management training.

Melanie has worked in the insurance industry since 1998, beginning her career with a global leader in financial services and insurance solutions. She has also served in positions of agency management, claims management and client service with a large regional healthcare system and a national insurance agency. Melanie received her Bachelor of Science in organizational management from Lubbock Christian University.

Melanie is licensed with the Texas Department of Insurance as a General Lines Producer for Property & Casualty and Life & Health. Melanie is also a licensed all lines adjuster.
